Found this recipe a few weeks ago, and it seemed to me the perfect lazy Sunday comfort food dish. Original name is "Chicken and brown rice casserole", but seems to me you can chuck most anything in there and you would still have a really enjoyable and filling dish.

Eggy mince (mince and potato frittata)

Last week W got a recipe book with the latest issue of Olive magazine: Mince Magic. That must have been done with me in mind. Mince tastic. Ever since I was a small kid I have loved mince dishes. In fact, first recipe I ever cooked (which I still go back to when I want something to take with me on a walk or just feel like a childishly tasty treat) is mince filled bread rolls gratinated with cheese.
This recipe is called Mince and Sweet Potato Frittata in the book, but I modified it a bit as described below.

That's the face of one satisfied diner.

To celebrate B's and D's birthdays we were invited to this Portuguese restaurant. The place looks very unassuming and almost a bit shoddy, but the food is really good.
After I managed to decipher the handwritten menu I got quite excited about the dishes on offer. Several interesting variations on clams or squid with garlic or white wine sauce competes for attention with different cuts of meat served grilled or fried.
